Baa-Baas set to Hammer Aussies

Barbarians coach, Jake White, has named his match 22 for tomorrow's friendly with the Wallabies at Wembley. Springbok captain John Smit will lead the side above All Black skipper Richie McCaw.

The general consensus among rugby lovers and experts is that the Baa-Baas will absolutely smash the Wallabies tomorrow. This is a very impressive looking team littered with current internationals. In all, nine Boks will run out for the Baa-Baas with the uncapped Nick Koster on the bench. You know a coach has a quality team when he can afford to play the IRB's world player of the year from the bench. I'm sure the guys in Wales will no doubt tell Jake exactly what they think of that decision.

Springbok veteran, Percy Montgomery, gets one more taste of international rugby and alongside Joe Rockokoko and Bryan Habana form a formidable back three. It'll be interesting to see how Jean de Villiers and Rico Gear combine in the centres especially becau! se the latter has been playing on the wing for most of his professional career. Francois Steyn at flyhalf is considered by some as a big gamble given his lack of game time at pivot for both club and country.

You know what to expect from arguably the world's best scrumhalf Fourie du Preez but what excites me the most is the loose trio of Jerry Collins, McCaw and Schalk Burger. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better and tougher combination. White has gone for an all-Bok lock pairing of Johann Muller and Bakkies Botha while Samoa's Census Johnston and Argentina's Frederico Pucciarello anchors the scrum alongside Smit.

The Wallabies will have one foot on the plane back home already so don't expect too much resistance from them. Will be a cracker of a game nonetheless.
